NEW YORK (Kashmir English): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have waived visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, in New York.
The decision to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic and official passport holders was finalized, and both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
In a statement issued on X (formerly Twitter), Ishaq Dar expressed his pleasure at signing the agreement alongside his brother, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official, and special passports between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the United Nations General Assembly session.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated that this significant step would further facilitate high-level contacts and institutional exchanges between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He added that the strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations would continue to expand across all areas of mutual interest.
Earlier this year, Pakistan also concluded agreements for visa-free entry for diplomatic and official passport holders with Bangladesh, Italy, and Georgia.
Regarding ordinary Pakistani citizens, visa-free entry is available to them in nine countries, while visa-on-arrival facilities are offered by twenty-nine countries.
