ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ministry of Interior on Friday denied the reports circulating on social media about the targeted deportation of Pakistani nationals from the UAE, calling it part of “vicious propaganda”.

In a statement, the interior ministry said that it has taken notice of speculative reporting in sections of the media, especially social media, about targeted deportations of Pakistani nationals from the brotherly Islamic country of the UAE.

“Having gone through the details and data, it is necessary to state that all such reporting is malafide and part of vicious propaganda by vested interests,” the ministry wrote.

It denied that any country or sect-specific deportations from any country, including the UAE, are being carried out.

Deportations, if any, are a routine process in line with the host country’s regulations and legal system, violations of their laws, and overstay or illegal documentation,” the statement added.

“At the same time, Pakistani nationals, having fulfilled host country visa and work-based requirements, continue to visit / access work visas in the UAE and other friendly countries without prejudice.’

The ministry said that fake news being peddled to the contrary, along with social media posts, is “malicious and fabricated to serve ulterior motives.”

“Any issue or access with any Pakistani national is always taken up on a case-by-case basis with the concerned country through established foreign office channels.”
