Pakistan reach Street Child World Cup semi-finals

MEXICO (Kashmir English): Pakistan has qualified for the Street Child World Cup semi-finals, where the green shirts will face Brazil to reach the final.

According to reports, in the Under-16 event of the Street Child World Cup Tournament 2026 in Mexico, among 30 countries, the Pakistan Street Children Team made it to the semi-finals by winning all four of its matches.

Pakistan defeated Indonesia, hosts Mexico, Russia, and Wales in its group matches. Various events for girls and boys are being held in the tournament.

The tournament is a youth-led movement for the rights, protection, and recognition of street children around the world. The Pakistan team participating in the World Cup under Muslim Hand, an organization dedicated to education and social change through sports, will also participate in the United Nations General Assembly.

Following the triumph, team management congratulated the players on this historic achievement, praising their discipline, unity, and commitment to representing Pakistan with pride and dignity.

Speaking on the occasion, Rehan Tahir expressed gratitude, lauding players for delivering throughout the tournament.

It may be recalled that the Pakistan team won the silver medal in the second position in the Street Child Football World Cup Football Tournament 2022 held in Qatar.

The players of the Pakistan Street Children team include Abdullah, Mubashir Shah, Muhammad Hammad, Nadeem Hussain, Muhammad Mustafa, Muhammad Isa, Shahid Anjum, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Bilal, and Muhammad Ibrahim.
