RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted live weapon firing of indigenously developed Anti-Ship Weapon System, Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, the military media wing said on Tuesday.

“Pakistan Navy has conducted successful live weapon firing of Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile in a powerful demonstration of precision strike capability and operational readiness,” according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

It said that the air-launched cruise missile executed its mission with exceptional precision, validating “Pakistan Navy’s combat capability to detect, target and decisively neutralize enemy sea-based threats at extended ranges.”

“This demonstration by the Pakistan Navy marks a pivotal elevation of national defence capability, further strengthening Pakistan Armed Forces’ multi-dimensional coordinated strike posture and capabilities in the conventional domain,” the ISPR statement stated.

In a separate statement, the DGPR of Pakistan Navy said that the missile validated PN’s ability to detect, target, and neutralize enemy sea-based threats, strengthening multi-dimensional strike capability.

“Pakistan Navy stands resolute in its commitment to safeguard the nation’s maritime interests and sovereign waters.”

The President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs have congratulated the scientists and engineers on achieving this significant milestone, the statement added.

PN test-fires anti-ship missile

Last Thursday, Pakistan Navy said it had successfully conducted a live weapon firing of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship missile.

The military’s media wing said the anti-ship missile accurately engaged its target at extended range with high speed.

“Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff, along with leading scientists and engineers, witnessed the missile firing,” it said.

The statement added that the missile integrates a cutting-edge guidance system and advanced maneuverability, enabling it to evade threats, adapt to dynamic conditions, and deliver with precision and lethality.

“The successful launch of this indigenously developed missile underscores the fusion of technological excellence and operational expertise.”

It further said that this missile firing is a manifestation of the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining credible sea-based deterrence in the conventional domain and to ensuring maritime security and stability in the region.

“The President, Prime Minister, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs have commended the participating units and scientists on achieving this milestone,” the statement concluded.
