NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued over 6,500 visas to Indian pilgrims to participate in the annual Baisakhi festival, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan from April 10 to 19, 2025.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich has stated that the large number of visas issued by the Government of Pakistan reflects its policy of fostering harmony and promoting understanding between peoples, cultures, and religions.

He emphasized that Pakistan would continue to facilitate such visits to sacred and holy sites.

The pilgrims are expected to visit prominent religious places, including Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.

Every year, a large number of yatrees (pilgrims) from India visit Pakistan to observe various religious festivals and occasions, in accordance with the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines of 1974.
