Pakistan issues travel advisory for Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan government has urged citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria due to Iran-Israel escalation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a travel advisory in this regard advising Pakistani nationals currently residing in these countries to remain extremely cautious.

Citizens of Pakistan have also been urged to limit movement and avoid all unnecessary travel within those territories.

The statement specifically asked citizens to stay in close contact with their nearest Pakistani embassies for assistance and up-to-date information.

Iran-Israel tensions

The advisory comes amid rising regional tensions, particularly Iran-Israel, which have affected several Middle Eastern nations.

According to the Pakistan Foreign Office, the advisory is aimed to protect Pakistani nationals and ensure their safety during the current volatile situation.

Israel-Iran air war entered a second week on Friday amid European nations efforts to draw Tehran back to the negotiating table.

On the other side, President Trump has said any decision on potential U.S. involvement in the conflict would be made within two weeks.

Israeli air attacks have killed more than 639 people in Iran, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency. Those killed include the military’s top leadership and nuclear scientists.
