BEIJING (Kashmir English): Pakistan Embassy in Beijing on Monday organised a special event to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The event reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast diplomatic, political and moral support for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Messages from the President, the Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read on the occasion.

These messages reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and strongly condemned Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The messages also urged the United Nations to ensure the long-awaited implementation of its resolutions on the long pending issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

The President and the Prime Minister, through the messages, also invited the attention of the world community to India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, which caused India unleashing a series of measures to force a demographic change in the occupied territory.

Speaking on the occasion, Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan Ambassador to China, underscored that resolution of the Kashmir dispute was a pre-requisite for sustainable peace and stability in South Asia.

He also called on the other nations to play their rightful role for a just, peaceful and lasting solution of this longstanding dispute.
