MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, on Tuesday announced that a major overseas Kashmiris conference will be organised in Muzaffarabad in the second week of February with the participation of overseas Kashmiris from all over the world.

He made this announcement during the meeting with Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Chairman Syed Qamar Raza and Advisor to the Chairman Chaudhry Ijaz Raza at Jammu and Kashmir House in Islamabad, the press release said.

During the meeting, it was decided that joint committees will be formed by the AJK government and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation for the organization, agenda, and administrative matters of the conference.

The committees will submit their final recommendations and report to the Prime Minister Rathore.

The leaders discussed various issues related to the problems faced by Overseas Kashmiris, their immediate solutions, and providing them with maximum facilities.

On the occasion, PM Rathore said that the overseas Kashmiris are a valuable asset of AJK, and the government has included their welfare and resolution of problems among its top priorities.

The Prime Minister expressed his determination that institutional measures would be taken to resolve the problems of Overseas Kashmiris on a priority basis and all possible support would be provided to them in terms of investment, employment, and other facilities.

It should be noted that this meeting was a continuation of the meeting held a few days ago, in which the OPF delegation had apprised the Prime Minister of the various difficulties faced by Overseas Kashmiris, on which the premier had assured immediate and effective measures.
