LAHORE (Kashmir English): Controversial YouTuber Hassan Iqbal Chishti has been arrested amidst outrage over his anti–education content aimed at women.
With numerous calls for action to shut down this channel, police in Punjab have detained Chishti over his continued sharing of misogynistic content aimed at girls’ education.
Mr. Chishti’s local song was harmful, insulting, and archaic, as its local authorities removed all clips from Mr. Chishti’s YouTube channel.
He gained notoriety last year with his viral song “Othy Dance Kardi Payi Ae”, insinuating immoral behavior occurring among schoolgirls. He continued producing this type of material by attacking fathers for sending their girls to school.
The material shared by YouTuber ignited waves of backlash, as calls for legal action began to occur, and authorities confirmed having received numerous complaints of complaints stating Chishti incited hatred and purposely spread disinformation.
