QUETTA (Kashmir English): Security forces are continuing operations against terrorists in Balochistan under Operation Shaban-2; during an operation in the Saran Tangi area, six terrorists belonging to ‘Fitna-al-Hind’ were killed, and nine suspects were arrested.
According to security sources, the forces conducted a successful operation against terrorists in Saran Tangi based on intelligence reports; a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of the terrorists killed during the operation.
Earlier, Security forces had killed three more Khawarij terrorists in the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan on Monday, bringing the total number of those killed in the operation to 91, state-run PTV News reported.
The Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police jointly launched Operation Shaban following the deadly terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam police post in Ziarat district on July 7, in which 27 police personnel were martyred.
According to the state media, effective operations are underway by the security forces against the terrorists hiding in the rugged mountainous terrain through coordinated ground and air operations.

Since July 5, a total of 129 militants belonging to Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan have been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations.
The report said Operation Shaban would continue across Balochistan until the last terrorist was eliminated.
