OGRA hikes petrol and diesel prices from August 22

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government on Friday hiked the petrol and diesel prices, effective Saturday, August 22, for three days, a day after the price of petrol was hiked and diesel was reduced.

According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol was hiked by Rs 3.81 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 3.59 per liter.

“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of the petroleum products from August 22 to 24,” the notification stated.

With the latest revision, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 341.59 per liter and diesel at Rs 368.29 per liter.

On August 20, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) raised the petrol price to Rs 337.78 per liter and the diesel price to Rs 364.70 per liter.
