ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has clarified the status of petroleum product reserves in Pakistan.

Pakistan has sufficient reserves of petroleum products as per the requirement, according to OGRA sources. Pakistan has more than 28 days of petrol and diesel reserves.

Pakistan imports most of its petroleum products from the Middle East. it is also importing 8 LNG cargoes from Qatar per month.

OGRA officials say that oil marketing companies are required to maintain 21 days of reserves.

It should be noted that Iran has been attacked by the US and Israel, to  which Iran retaliated. The war in the region will affect oil supplies, which is likely to increase oil prices.
