BAJAUR (Kashmir English): Security forces have so far killed nine Khawarij while foiling attacks in Mina and Inayat Kalay areas in Bajaur on Thursday night.
According to the security sources, Khawarij attempted a few attacks in Meena and Inayat Kalay, which were thwarted by the security forces with an effective response.
In response, nine terrorists were sent to hell; however, four Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred during the encounter with the Khawarij.
Security forces have cordoned off the area while search operations are underway, sources added.
Moreover, the security sources dismissed rumors circulating on social media regarding attacks on a battalion and wing headquarters in Bajaur, terming them baseless.
Sources said that no attackers have been able to enter any battalion or wing headquarters of the Pakistan Army.
“However, today, a few failed attacks were attempted by the Khawarij in Meena and Inayat Kalay, which were thwarted by the security forces with an effective response,” they said, adding that several terrorists were killed in the retaliatory action and the situation is now completely under control.
