MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, a husband and wife were shot dead in their house in Daulat Colony in Upper Chattar area of Muzaffarabad on Wednesday night.
Secretariat Police Muzaffarabad arrested the accused, Shahzad Khan, within ten hours for murdering his ex sister-in-law and her husband. A team led by SHO Secretariat Javed Gauhar conducted a raid and arrested the accused, police said.
As per details, the deceased woman’s 14-year-old daughter, Insiya Bibi, informed police about the incident. Upon initial investigation, police found that the victims, Aamna Bibi and Ehtesham Qureshi, got married just a month ago.
The victim’s daughter told police that her birth father died a year ago, and her mother later married Ehtesham.
According to the initial report, the accused entered the house at 3:30 am and shot the couple before fleeing the scene. The police shifted the bodies to CMH Muzaffarabad for autopsy and initiated an investigation into the case.
