ISLAMABAD: Amid the recent torrential rains and floods, the National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) on Wednesday postponed the MDCAT 2025 date.
As per the NUMS statement, the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for the year 2025 will now be held on September 28 (Sunday).
Earlier, the entry tests were scheduled for September 14.
In a statement shared on its website, the university stated that “current torrential rains and floods have created difficulties for many candidates.”
“In order to give equal and fair chances to all the candidates, NUMS MDCAT – 2025 has been postponed,” it added.
It further mentioned that Nums stands by the people of Pakistan affected by these rains and floods.
NUMS conducts Entry Test for Admission in MBBS/BDS Programme Session 2025-26 in its Constituent, Affiliated, and all Military (Armed Forces) Administered Medical and Dental Colleges.
Public sector medical and dental colleges include the Army Medical College Rawalpindi, and the Dental Section Army Medical College Rawalpindi. The university also conducted entry tests for a dozen private medical colleges across the country.
