NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): In light of the recent rise in Pakistan-India tensions, residents of Neelum Valley have started training with the support of Pakistan Army personnel. Locals, including youth and ex-servicemen, are actively participating in sessions to learn how to handle modern weapons.
This move reflects growing public resolve in Neelum Valley to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army. The participants expressed their readiness to defend their homeland against any potential aggression by Indian forces. Many declared they would not hesitate to fight back if war were imposed.
“We are here to receive civilian military training. If war is forced upon us, we will show the world what real resistance looks like,” said one of the trainees, reflecting the determination shared by others in the group.
The residents strongly voiced their commitment to the country and armed forces, stating, “We give this message to the Hindu Baniya, while you value life in this world, our real life begins after death.” This sentiment echoed throughout the valley, symbolising the spirit of sacrifice deeply rooted in the people of Neelum.
Participants also warned India against using the recent Pahalgam incident as an excuse for any military misadventure. “The Indian army knows very well who Pakistanis and Kashmiris are. If they attempt any aggression based on that false flag operation, we will give a befitting reply,” said another local.
Many also expressed their desire to avenge the ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. They warned that if Indian forces attempt to cross the line, they will face strong retaliation.
“Modi’s cowardly army should not even think of attacking. If they do, it will be a mistake they will never forget,” said one villager.
Locals reiterated that they are firmly behind the Pakistan Army, both in spirit and in action. “We are, and will always be, ready to fight beside our brave soldiers,” said a young man participating in the training.
With tensions high along the Line of Control, the wave of civilian military training in Neelum Valley signals strong national unity and resolve. Residents have made it clear, they are prepared, committed, and will not be caught off guard.
