Neelum Valley attack: FIR registered against suspects in Challiana shooting

NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Police have registered an FIR against eight suspects in the Neelum Valley attack, including prime accused Tufail Ashraf Mughal, after a late-night gun attack in Challiana on a passenger vehicle belonging to Sango Travel, which resulted in tyre blasts and raised security concerns.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the City Police Station Athmuqam against multiple suspects for attacking a passenger vehicle in the lower Neelum Valley region of Challiana late at night.

Police sources indicate the suspects attacked a Sango Travel vehicle by firing their weapons until the tyres exploded. The FIR contains Tufail Ashraf Mughal as the principal suspect alongside seven additional people. The authorities charged these defendants with conducting terrorist activities and kidnapping people, and vehicle theft crimes.

The authorities continue their pursuit of the accused individuals by sending police teams who are actively tracking down their locations to make arrests. The authorities have declared their commitment to prosecute all attackers vigorously while local public safety worries intensify due to these security incidents.
