ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a notice to Noreen Niazi, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in an inquiry related to dissemination of false and inflammatory content on social media against state institutions.
The NCCIA has directed her to appear before the Cyber Crime Reporting Centre in Islamabad on July 20, 2026.
The notice states that Noreen Niazi is being investigated over allegations of sharing “false, offensive and inflammatory social media content” aimed at defaming state institutions.
The authority has asked her to come down personally before the investigator at NCCIA and give her statement.
Furthermore, the notice mentions that any non-compliance shall be deemed as having no defense to offer for the issue.
It is also mentioned that non-compliance with this notice may have legal implications under the relevant clauses of the Pakistan Penal Code.
