ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has created a new digital facility for citizens.
The citizens will now be allowed to get biometric verification completed for the sale and purchase of Islamabad-registered vehicles through the Pak ID mobile application.
The move shifts the entire process from physical verification to an online one. Previously, a citizen had to go to the NADRA office and then wait for his or her turn in a queue for several hours.
The new system will allow the citizens to conduct biometric checks right from their homes and then attend the remaining formalities regarding the transfer at the concerned government office.
Earlier, the National Database and Registration Authority had asked all residents to delete the CNICs of their family members who had died.
In this regard, the authority, through an alert, had asked residents to visit the local facility or use the Pak ID mobile app to update family records.
Though 7 million deaths were registered in the union councils in March 2025, their ID cards were not deleted as per NADRA statistics.
