ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider says that we may see more cloudbursts in the next three to four weeks.

He said that the chances of cloudbursts occurring in North Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit have increased.

The NDMA Chairman added that such a series of cloudbursts may occur again in the next two to three weeks.

This year, the intensity and spread of the monsoon are more, as seen in Gilgit-Baltistan two weeks ago, the follow-up of which is now being seen in KPK.

The NDMA Chairman said that we have a very good system compared to the weather projectors used in the world. The destruction that occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a weather system coming from the west.

The main reason for the destruction was also the people living in low-lying areas.

On the other hand, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) provided three trucks of national relief stock to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

More than 800 kg of medicines were provided to Bajaur through the Ministry of National Health Services, and 109,515 relief items were provided to Buner.

INGO provided 10,000 non-food items and 15,000 food packets. The NGO distributed 2,000 tarpaulins and 330 tents, 6 tons of dry rations.

NGO provided 6 tons of dry milk, 3 ambulances, and 3 mobile health units. This aid was provided in Swat, Buner, Shangla, and Bajaur.
