LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that the time to beg for talks with India has passed.
While holding a press conference in Lahore after the meeting of the Boards of Governors, he added that” We will talk to India only on the basis of equality.”
Mohsin Naqvi expressed the hope that if Allah wills, our team will perform well in the Asia Cup.
He said that they are trying to add new talent to the team for the benefit of the team.
The chairman PCB said that I have no involvement in adding or removing anyone from the team, nor do I have any role in the selection committee. The selection committee will decide on the ODI captaincy
He added that initiatives are being taken to improve the performance of the women’s team.
Earlier, the Board of Governors meeting approved the PCB’s updated financial rules, reappointment of auditors, and closure of accounts that have not been used for several years.
The meeting approved the acquisition of corporate credit cards, procedural changes to adopt the Global Anti-Corruption Code, and changes in the scrutiny method of clubs.
The PCB meeting ratified the decisions of the 78th and 79th meetings of the BOG while considering measures to improve the quality of Pakistani cricket.
The meeting discussed the improvement of the team’s performance in international cricket and was briefed on grassroots-level measures for the promotion of women’s cricket.
The participants were briefed on domestic cricket and bringing forward young talent, and upgrading of high-performance centers.
The meeting was attended by BOG members Anwar Ghani, Zaheer Abbas, Sajjad Ali, Zafarullah, PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer, International Cricket, Media and Communication, Domestic Cricket officials, Human Resources, Directors of High Performance Centers, Head of Women’s Cricket and Legal Department officials.
