MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore Friday night warned that violence, chaos and anti-state activities shall never be tolerated and will be dealt with full force of law.
“End of mob rule. Do not challenge the writ of the State,” he said in a post on X while also sharing the notification banning the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
In another post, the PM said that freedom of expression is a fundamental right of the people, but forcing business to close, blockading roads and cities amounts to terrorism and anti-state acts/
“So far we have only taken precautionary measures to safeguard the lives and properties of our citizens. Violence, chaos and anti-state activities shall never be tolerated and will be dealt with full force of law. Peaceful protests are welcomed, but threatening State institutions constitutes a crime.”
Freedom of expression right of people: Rathore
The other post stated, “Freedom of expression is a fundamental right of the people, but forcing business to close, blockading roads and cities, raising slogans like “بند، مطلب بند” and hijacking of the whole system amounts to terrorism and anti-state acts. Do not confuse ‘protests’ with ‘chaos’.”
It is to mention here that the AJK government on Friday banned the JAAC for its involvement in anti-statement activities.
