LAHORE (Kashmir English): In a recent development, legendary former Pakistani international cricketer, captain, and coach Misbah-ul-Haq has resigned from the post of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Selection Committee.
According to sources, Misbah has conveyed his decision to the PCB and will wait for some time before resigning from the position. This news follows just a day after PCB announced the parting of ways with seven players, besides the two coaches, Sarfaraz Ahmad and Umar Gul.
The names of the players released include Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Awais Zafar, and Khurram Shahzad, as announced by the PCB.
The board has finalized the names of the seven players who will replace the released staff. These include five players who are yet to represent Pakistan in Tests and two who have played Tests.
It was now announced by PCB that Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke will join the support staff, replacing Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul.
