MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) has been shut down after students launched a strong protest against the university’s examination system on Monday, leading to the closure of all three campuses.

According to details, students locked the main entrance gate of the varsity, barring the administration and staff from entering the premises. As a result, all academic activities have been completely suspended, and several scheduled examination papers have been postponed.

The protestors allege serious flaws in the examination system and are demanding that the process be made transparent and effective.

They have called for an inquiry into existing errors and for the administration to announce a clear and fair schedule for future exams.

Despite multiple attempts by the university administration to negotiate, no breakthrough has been achieved so far. The situation remains tense, and the campuses will stay closed until an agreement is reached between students and university officials.
