MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Mirpur police have conducted two separate operations, leading to the arrest of accused individuals and the seizure of drugs and arms.
According to the police, SHO Police Station New City, along with his team, carried out an operation and arrested Muhammad Waqas, recovering 3.5 kg of hashish powder.
Police seized the accused’s vehicle and registered a case under section 9/C.
In another operation, two accused, Muhammad Nadeem and Raisullah, were arrested, and a 30-bore pistol with three magazines and 37 grains of raw material were recovered.
A police spokesperson said that the vehicle used by the accused has been seized, and a case was registered under Section 15.
The successful operations have been appreciated by the public and social circles, who have paid tributes to SHO Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry and DFC Saghir Qureshi for their efforts in maintaining law and order in the region.
The police team comprised ASI Raja Khalid Mahmood, Investigation Officer Wahid Murad, and DFC Sagheer Qureshi.
