Mirpur police arrest accused, recover 40 tolas of gold

MIRPUR (Kashmir Digital): Mirpur Police on Thursday arrested a thief and recovered 40 tolas of gold, which was stolen from a house in Mirpur’s Chitterpari area a few days ago.

As per the details, Shaikh Naveed Ahmed, a resident of Chitterpari, requested Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mirpur Khurram Iqbal to take action, saying that some unknown person stole 40 tolas of gold from his house and fled.

Taking action on the matter, SSP Mirpur instructed SHO Mangla Sameeullah to arrest the accused and recover the gold worth Rs 2 crore. SHO Mangla acted effectively and recovered the gold from the accused’s possession in a major operation.

SSP Mirpur Khurram Iqbal praised the performance of SHO Mangla and congratulated him, while the people of the area also congratulated SSP Khurram Iqbal and his entire team for this excellent performance.
