ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has predicted more rain across the country in the coming week.
According to the Meteorological Department, moderate humid winds from the Arabian Sea are entering the upper areas, and there is a possibility of rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms in the upper areas of the country next week.
Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas are likely to remain partly cloudy with rain, while on Monday evening and night, there may be rain with strong winds and thunderstorms at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, as per the Met Office.
Rain is expected in different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan from September 16 to 19, while rain is likely in Islamabad and various districts of Punjab from September 16 to 19.
The weather will be hot and dry in most parts of Sindh, while the coastal districts will be partly cloudy.
The weather is likely to be partly cloudy and humid in most areas of Balochistan.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for the eleventh spell of monsoon rains, which may cause flooding in the rivers.
The PDMA has directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners across the province to remain alert, while citizens have been advised to avoid sightseeing and recreation near rivers and take precautionary measures.
Moreover, according to the Meteorological Department, most parts of the country remained dry during the last 24 hours.
However, rainfall was recorded at some places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Murree.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Parachinar at 6 mm, Muzaffarabad city at 4 mm, and Murree at 3 mm.
The highest temperature was recorded in Nokundi and Dalbandin at 42 degrees Celsius, while in Chilas it was 41 degrees Celsius.
