RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): In view of the safety threats, especially in areas adjacent to the Line of Control (LoC), the Rawalakot police have issued advisory for general public.
Volatile situation near LoC
The local police have appealed to the public to take precautionary measures due to volatile situation near to the LoC.
They have been asked to immediately report any suspicious person or object to the nearest police station.
The locals have been advised not to give shelter to any stranger or non-local person in village. Similarly, they have been directed to not let their livestock go near the zero line.
Any suspicious drone or quadcopter activity would be reported to the authorities, under the advisory.
The local have been advised not to touch any toy-like object, suspicious bag, packet, or items and in such a case immediately inform the police.
Checking has been increased at entry points, bridges, hotels, inns, and other residential places and the public has been asked to cooperate with the authorities.
The general public has been advised to ignore rumours and false news and rely only on information verified from authentic sources.
The locals have been asked to report individuals involved in illegally crossing the border or drug smuggling.
All Village Defence Committees have been activated and the public has been appealed to cooperate fully so that any act of terrorism or sabotage can be foiled.
The authorities have shared contact numbers of nearby police stations for public convenience.
