MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have been witnessing light and heavy rain accompanied by strong winds from early morning.
According to the sources, light rain started in various areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Atmaqam, Neelum Valley, Bagh, and its surroundings. It also rained in the upper areas, including Islamabad, and the weather became pleasant.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain is likely to occur at a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan today, while heavy rain and hail may also occur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas.
Meanwhile, heavy rains have been predicted in most districts of Punjab from September 16 to 19 during the 11th spell of monsoon rains.
According to the spokesperson of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, rains are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujrat, and Sialkot.
