MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The media cell of the Liberation Front involved in propaganda against the Pakistan Army during the LOC clash has also been found to be fake. The spokesperson of the Liberation Front has expressed disassociation.
According to details, a clarifying statement issued by the central spokesperson of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, stated that the fake Facebook ID page associated with the Liberation Front media cell has no connection with the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front.
Muhammad Rafiq Dar said that the Liberation Front strongly condemns this malicious propaganda and the cross-border firing that took place on the LOC. The statement further clarified that the military truck was an official Indian Army vehicle, which was clearly visible.
The statement also mentioned that this malicious propaganda is a failed conspiracy to defame the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. It is worth noting that yesterday, a picture of an Indian Army truck was shared on social media, with poisonous propaganda against the Pakistan Army.
Substantially extensive dangers emerge from propaganda, primarily in situations of warfare and conflict. False information typically serves to increase prejudices between different groups, which deepens nation-to-nation conflicts. Propaganda narratives that deal with sensitive military matters often trigger violent responses from the public while causing massive public distress and the destruction of diplomatic relations.
Propaganda techniques exploit human emotions to create a distorted reality while driving social separation. Social media uses its power to intensify harmful messages so they reach large groups of people in the modern digital world. The protective environment created by this practice allows manipulators to hide facts while shaping distorted beliefs instead of truthful ones, which leads to disrupted peace and stability.
Information verification has become a top priority in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) for news acceptance and information-sharing purposes. Social media, along with digital platforms, brought about an alarming increase in incorrect information distribution that now troubles the global community.
The Azad Kashmir government has encouraged the public to evaluate news sources and confirm facts before trusting news on social media platforms. The proactive strategy intends to develop a society which bases its decisions on accurate and reliable information because it strives to make people both informed and responsible.
