HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): The residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been facing extreme difficulties while commuting daily due to bad weather, landslides that have blocked several roads.
The main road connecting Bani Langrial to Hattian Bala was hit by a landslide on August 14, caused by heavy rain and cloudburst, which has not been restored yet.
Due to the continuous closure of the road, the residents and passengers of the area are facing severe difficulties in transportation.
According to eyewitnesses, debris has fallen at several places after the landslide, but the administration has not taken timely and effective steps to remove it.
It has become extremely difficult to transport patients to hospitals and students to educational institutions, while the locals are also facing problems in obtaining daily necessities.
The people of the area have demanded immediate notice from the district administration and the highways department, saying that further delay in the restoration of the road could make the situation more serious.
Public circles say that the early repair and restoration of the affected road will not only restore transportation but also normal life in the area.
