LAHORE  (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars team announced for the Global Super League to be held in Guyana.

Lahore Qalandars team for the Global Super League will be led by New Zealander Michael Bracewell. The team includes Pervez Hussain, Shayan Jahangir, Delano Potgieter, and Abdullah Shafiq.

In addition, Osama Mir, Shamil Hussain, Muhammad Naeem, Imran Randhawa, Mehran Mumtaz, Farhan Yousuf, Shahab Khan, Muhammad Basit, and Ali Shabbir are also part of the squad.

Lahore Qalandars have appointed former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as head coach for the Global Super League.

Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana announced the appointment of the squad and head coach.

Atif Rana, while holding a press conference, said that Shaun Tait has extensive experience and has a winning mindset. The Lahore Qalandars squad consists of young and experienced players, and the young players will get international exposure and learn.

It should be noted that the Global Super League will be played in Guyana from July 23 to August 1. Lahore Qalandars will play the first match against Perth Scorchers on July 23.

PCB issues NOCs to 13 cricketers for Global Super League

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to 13 cricketers to participate in the Global Super League (GSL) 2026 scheduled later this month.

The PCB has issued NOCs to Muhammad Haris, Shahab Khan, Muhammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafiq, Farhan Yousuf, Shamyl Hussain, Mehran Mumtaz, Usman Khan, Ali Shabbir, Mohammad Farooq, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Basit, and Khalil Ahmed.

Moreover, the cricket board has issued NOCs to Maaz Sadaqat for the Caribbean Premier League.

The Global Super League will be held in Guyana from July 23 to August 1, with all matches being played at Providence Stadium in Providence.

The five-team competition will feature champions from various franchise leagues across the World, including Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 champions Lahore Qalandars, Australia’s Perth Scorchers, the UAE’s Desert Vipers, the USA’s San Francisco Unicorns, and Caribbean Premier League (CPL) side Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Lahore Qalandars will open their campaign against Perth Scorchers on 23 July before facing Desert Vipers on 24 July. They will then take on Guyana Amazon Warriors on 26 July and conclude the league stage against San Francisco Unicorns on 29 July.
