PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor has stepped up efforts to improve law and order in the province, with a decision made to provide modern armoured vehicles to the police.
According to sources, preparations are underway to hand over the vehicles to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, particularly for deployment in the province’s merged districts. The vehicles have reportedly arrived at the Governor House in Peshawar.
Sources said each vehicle costs millions of rupees. A formal ceremony will be held to hand over the vehicles to the police.
The initiative aims to strengthen police capabilities and support efforts to maintain law and order in areas facing security challenges.
The KP Governor has stated that establishing peace and maintaining law and order across the province remain the government’s top priorities.
