KP CM Sohail Afridi to visit Muzaffarabad on Saturday

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi is set to visit Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), on Saturday, April 25, the KP govt’s spokesperson said.

In a post on X, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of KP on Information, Shafi Jan, said that he will participate in the street movement and a rally at Lal Chowk in Muzaffarabad at 2 pm.

He further said that all expenses for the government helicopter for the visit have been paid from party funds.

“By avoiding the use of government resources for political activities, the Chief Minister has established a positive tradition of transparency and accountability in line with Imran Khan’s vision,” he said.

“Imran Khan has always considered government resources as a trust of the people, safeguarded them with utmost care, and completely avoided using them for political purposes,” Shafi Jan wrote on X.

Afridi meets PTI AJK leadership

Earlier on Tuesday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi held a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir leadership to review preparations for his scheduled visit.

The chief minister noted that the visit forms part of the broader street movement being advanced in line with the directions of Imran Khan, and emphasized that efforts would be further scaled up to strengthen its momentum.

He reaffirmed the commitment to continue the political and legal struggle for the release of illegally incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi.

The chief minister stated that the struggle for constitutional supremacy, independence of the judiciary and media, and true freedom will continue with full force.
