KORT launches Phase II of ‘Housing Project for Widows’ in Azad Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) on Friday launched Phase II of its “Housing Project for Widows”, planning to build 100 homes for deserving widows across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The inauguration ceremony took place at Kashmir House, Islamabad, with President AJK Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and KORT Chairman Ch. Muhammad Akhtar officiating the launch.

Under the scheme, KORT will construct 100 fully-equipped homes for deserving widows across 10 districts of Azad Kashmir within a year, at a cost of Rs250 million.

As per details, Phase I successfully delivered 82 homes at a cost of Rs195 million.
