KARACHI (Kashmir English): Kia Pakistan has announced major price reductions across its Sorento lineup, with prices cut by up to Rs2.5 million under a limited-time promotional offer.
The new prices, announced by Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), will take effect from October 7, 2026, as the company celebrates 10 years of operations and the sale of 100,000 units in Pakistan and other markets.
Under the revised pricing, the Kia Sorento 1.6T FWD HEV will now be available for Rs15.499 million, compared with its previous price of Rs16.299 million. The variant has received a reduction of Rs800,000.
The Sorento 1.6T AWD HEV has received a significantly larger price cut of Rs2.4 million. Its price has been reduced from Rs17.899 million to Rs15.499 million.
The biggest reduction has been announced for the Sorento 1.5T AWD PHEV, which has become Rs2.5 million cheaper. Its price has dropped from Rs18.999 million to Rs16.499 million.
Revised Kia Sorento prices
| Variant | Previous price | Promotional price | Price reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sorento 1.6T FWD HEV | Rs16.299 million | Rs15.499 million | Rs800,000 |
| Sorento 1.6T AWD HEV | Rs17.899 million | Rs15.499 million | Rs2.4 million |
| Sorento 1.5T AWD PHEV | Rs18.999 million | Rs16.499 million | Rs2.5 million |
LMC said the promotional pricing is being offered for a limited period as part of its 10-year anniversary celebrations. The company also thanked customers for their continued trust and support during its decade of operations.
The latest price revision represents a substantial reduction, particularly for the all-wheel-drive hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. The Sorento 1.6T AWD HEV, for instance, is now priced at the same promotional level as the FWD HEV despite previously carrying a Rs1.6 million higher price tag.
Similarly, the Sorento PHEV, which was previously the most expensive variant in the lineup at Rs18.999 million, is now available for Rs16.499 million.
However, LMC has clarified that the announced promotional prices are ex-factory prices. Freight and insurance charges are not included in the revised prices.
The company further stated that any new or additional duties, taxes or other government-imposed charges introduced before delivery will be borne by the customer. Such changes could therefore lead to an adjustment in the final amount payable by buyers.
The significant price cuts are expected to attract new buyers to Kia’s Sorento lineup, particularly those considering hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs. At the same time, the sharp reductions may prompt questions among existing owners and prospective buyers about future pricing and the resale value of vehicles purchased before the promotional offer.
For now, the reduced prices provide potential customers with an opportunity to purchase the Sorento lineup at substantially lower rates, although buyers will need to consider additional applicable charges before taking delivery.
