MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir is set to host the Inter-Provincial Speakers Conference in Muzaffarabad on January 14-15.
This decision was taken in a meeting between Speaker of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar and Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq at the National Assembly Secretariat here on Thursday.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, and Secretary Azad Kashmir Assembly, Chaudhry Basharat, and Special Assistant, Syed Azadar Hussain Kazmi, were also present on the occasion.
It was agreed that the upcoming conference in Muzaffarabad will be attended by the Speaker National Assembly, Speakers of the four provincial assemblies, and the Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, with Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar serving as the host.
The conference aims to promote inter-parliamentary cooperation, strengthen legislative coordination among the provinces and regions, and enhance dialogue on national and constitutional issues.
