Kashmir Girls Cadet College honours outstanding cadets

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): When discipline, leadership, and hard work come together on one platform, institutions make history and this was especially observed at Kashmir Girls Cadet College, Langarpora, Muzaffarabad.

A dignified and graceful ceremony was held at Kashmir Girls Cadet College, Langarpora, Muzaffarabad, where the abilities, character, and leadership qualities of cadets were highly appreciated.

On this occasion, five outstanding and exemplary cadets were awarded honorary sashes in recognition of their exceptional academic and training performance.

The ceremony formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, filling the environment with spirituality. This was followed by the national anthem, during which all participants stood respectfully to express their patriotic sentiments.

Later, the cadets presented a well-organized and impressive parade, reflecting the college’s high training standards, discipline, and comprehensive grooming.

The honoured cadets

During the central segment of the ceremony, the college administration conferred sashes upon five selected cadets — Mah Noor Afzal, Khansa Abbasi, Himna Gul, Ishal Fatima, and Samreen Dilshad —, assigning them various leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Managing Director Matiullah Jan and Adjutant Zahid Abbasi presented the sashes, while Director Abid Khan was also present on the occasion. Proud parents attended the ceremony, witnessing the honor bestowed upon their daughters.

Addressing the gathering, MD Matiullah Jan said: “These sashes are not just symbols of honour, they are a reminder of the responsibility, discipline, and leadership each cadet must uphold.

Kashmir Girls Cadet College is committed to nurturing young leaders who will serve their country with integrity, courage, and dedication, he said and added that he was confident that each of them will continue to shine, setting an example for peers and bringing pride to the nation.

The cadets were selected on the basis of outstanding academic performance, exemplary character, discipline, physical fitness, and leadership potential.

Along with the sashes, they were entrusted with the responsibility of serving as role models for other cadets and further strengthening discipline within the institution.
