KARACHI (Kashmir English): Karachi Police have arrested a woman identified as Fauzia Baloch, allegedly involved in the supply of ice and heroin, along with two accomplices.
According to sources, Fauzia Baloch was arrested from Karachi’s Central District a few days ago during a major operation. Her two associates, Maula Bakhsh and her sister Sakina, were also arrested.
During interrogation, she allegedly disclosed details of an intercity drug trafficking network operating between Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi, Hyderabad, and Tando Muhammad Khan.
According to the investigation report, around 10 kilograms of ice and heroin were transported from Islamabad to Karachi through the network.
During questioning, the accused reportedly identified three alleged key figures, Shoaib Baloch, Anis, and Javed, in the network, and also revealed the involvement of five other individuals from Peshawar.
According to the report, the network had earlier operated from Karachi’s Gharibabad area before allegedly shifting activities to Hyderabad after authorities traced the hideout.
Fauzia Baloch also allegedly revealed that a person identified as Abdul Shakoor, said to be associated with a government agency, was responsible for supplying narcotics from Peshawar.
Investigators further claimed that the entire network operated primarily through WhatsApp communication.
According to the investigation, the people working in the network were paid Rs 150,000 per kg, while high-quality ice was sold for Rs 200,000 per kg and heroin for Rs 300,000 per kg.
According to the authorities, investigations are still ongoing regarding the people who bought ice and heroin in Karachi and Hyderabad. The arrested accused Fauzia Baloch has been shifted to jail on judicial remand.
