KARACHI (Kashmir English): The results of Class 9 General Group have been announced by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi for the first annual examination of 2026. The overall pass rate obtained by the private and regular candidates is 36.29%.
In total, 15,244 candidates took admission for the examination, out of which 14,260 students appeared, whereas the number of absentees was recorded as 1,984.
Overall, a total of 10,064 regular candidates were registered for the examination. The regular candidates appearing for the exam were 9,530, and the number of absentees was recorded as 534. The overall results state that 3,487 candidates passed in 7 papers, 2,088 candidates passed in 6 papers, and 1,335 candidates successfully passed in 5 papers.
Besides this information, the other facts indicate that 902 candidates passed four papers, 673 candidates obtained success in three papers, 450 candidates passed two papers, and 309 candidates cleared one exam. The overall success rate for regular candidates was 36.59%.
The private General Group registered around 5,180 candidates to appear in the examination, and the number of candidates successfully appearing in the exams was 4,730 with an absentee count of only 450. For the exam takers, 1,688 candidates passed all the papers, while 1,279 passed six papers and only 596 candidates cleared five papers.
