Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in consultation after positive talks with govt

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Amid the ongoing protest of the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in Azad Kashmir, late-night talks were held between the federal government delegation and the committee.

According to the officials, the discussion took place in a positive atmosphere, with consensus reached on several key issues.

The Government delegation assured the JAAC of its full support to all legitimate demands, emphasizing that efforts would continue to resolve the remaining matters through dialogue

Speaking to the media after the negotiations,  Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, stressed that peace and stability were vital across the country, adding that the government was committed to protecting every citizen.

He cautioned that hostile forces were seeking to exploit unrest in Pakistan.” We should not give any opportunity to the country’s enemies. Instability benefits them the most, he remarked.

The minister urged all stakeholders to resolve issues through dialogue and avoid actions that could endanger national unity. “We want peace in Azad Kashmir, and we must not ignite any spark that harms the country,” he said

On this occasion, Federal Minister Amir Muqam said that the discussion was held in a good atmosphere with the JAAC, and there is consensus on many issues.

We will support the committee in all legitimate demands, and matters should be resolved through mutual understanding. We have come with good intentions, as the federal government wants to find a solution.

The Minister for Kashmir Affairs said that we want matters to be resolved through mutual understanding, which is why we have stayed here at night.

People’s Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the committee had come before us, and we are with them in all legitimate demands.

We are sure that we will find a solution to the problems through negotiations; the rights that are obtained through negotiations should not be taken by fighting.

Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is looking into the matters himself.

The former Minister of Kashmir Affairs said that peace is needed in the region, and the Action Committee should not let go of its patience.

We will find the best solution to the issues, and in no case will we disappoint the Kashmiri people.
