MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has approved a major reshuffling of senior police officials across the region in the interest of administrative efficiency.
The notification stating the transfers and postings was issued by the government’s Services and General Administration Department on Tuesday.
According to the notification, Raja Muhammad Akmal Khan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), District Bagh, has been transferred to the Central Police Headquarters.
Furthermore, Muhammad Amin, Superintendent of Police (SP), District Bhimber, has been transferred and posted to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), District Bagh.
In addition to that, Mirza Zahid Husain, SP Jhelum Valley, has been transferred to the Central Police Headquarters. Khawar Ali Shaukat, Superintendent of Police and currently serving as SSP Mirpur, has been transferred and posted as SSP Poonch.
Moreover, the President approved the transfer and posting of Khurram Iqbal, SP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), to SSP Mirpur, replacing SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat.
As per the notification, Syed Abbas Ali Shah, SP Reserve, has been transferred and posted as SP Jhelum Valley. Atta-ur-Rehman, SP Haveli, has been transferred and attached to the Central Police Office.
Additionally, Aamir Shahzad Nawabi, Additional SP Mirpur, has been transferred and posted as SP Haveli. Muhammad Riaz Mughal, Superintendent of Police District Poonch, has been transferred and posted as DP Reserve, the notification added.
