LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has declared PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar and his wife Sameera innocent in the case of alleged harassment and threats to actress Momina Iqbal.
The Lahore Sessions Court heard the interim bail applications of Saqib Chadhar and his wife, in which the investigation officer informed the court about the progress.
Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Siddiqui heard the case, while Advocate Adnan Ehsan appeared on behalf of Momina Iqbal, and Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq appeared on behalf of Saqib Chadhar.
The investigation officer said that the NCCIA had changed the investigation of the case and formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT). During the investigation, Saqib Chadhar and his wife were declared innocent, and their arrest is not required.
After the statement of the investigating officer, Saqib Chadhar and his wife withdrew their interim bail applications.
On the other hand, Momina Iqbal’s lawyer raised objections to the investigation process and asked how the new investigating officer has declared the accused clear without conducting a complete investigation.
The lawyer took the position that the NCIA has changed the investigation of the case without informing Momina Iqbal.
It should be remembered that the NCIA has registered a case against Momina Iqbal for allegedly harassing and threatening her.
