Islamabad (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir’s Transport Minister Javed Butt has made serious allegations against former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, accusing him of insulting his own party members from the refugee community.

Speaking to the media, Javed Butt claimed that Raja Farooq Haider disrespected refugee lawmakers within his own party. “Did Raja Farooq Haider blacken the faces of his party’s refugee assembly members and party president and throw them into the Neelum River?” he asked, making a direct and controversial statement.

Javed Butt also accused federal leader Rana Sanaullah of trying to steal seats reserved for refugees in Azad Kashmir. He alleged that Shah Ghulam Qadir is pleading with the refugee community for votes, while Farooq Haider wants to disgrace them publicly.

Javed Butt claimed that Rana Sanaullah wants to “steal refugee seats” in Azad Kashmir, while Shah Ghulam Qadir is “begging refugees for votes,” and Raja Farooq Haider is allegedly planning to “disgrace refugees and throw them into the Neelum River.”

He further challenged Rana Sanaullah and Shah Ghulam Qadir to clarify whether Raja Farooq Haider indeed “blackened the faces of his party’s refugee assembly members and his party president before throwing them into the Neelum River.”

This is not the first time Javed Butt has spoken out on refugee matters, but the tone and content of his latest remarks have caused significant political stir. Whether these allegations will lead to legal or political consequences remains to be seen.
