MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Tensions flared in Muzaffarabad when armed miscreants from the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) attacked a peace rally organized by the Muslim Conference.
The clash resulted in injuries to eleven citizens, sparking widespread outrage, sources said. The injured were shifted to the hospital after first aid.
Furthermore, JAAC protestors also blocked an ambulance in Battal, leading to the death of an elderly citizen, Muhammad Sadiq.
Locals protested against the JAAC, removing barricades erected by the committee and expressing their frustration.
They also fired at police and citizens in the name of peaceful protest, showcasing malicious intentions, sources said.
The security sources said that the miscreants and action committee leaders involved in the violent actions will be brought to justice.
