ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The district administration of Islamabad has officially enforced revised operating hours for businesses across the capital city.
Aimed at energy conservation and national austerity, the new restrictions require all shops and malls to close by 8 PM, while food outlets, grocery stores, and wedding venues must close by 10 PM.

Restaurants, food outlets and grocery stores are, however, permitted to stay open until 10:00 PM.
It is to mention that takeaway and delivery services for food outlets are permitted to continue later.
Wedding halls and event venues must close no later than 10:00 PM.
Authorities have confirmed that essential services will not be impacted by the new directives.
The following businesses are exempt from the closures and will continue to operate under their normal routines: hospitals, pharmacies, and medical stores, petrol pumps and CNG stations, milk/dairy shops, bakeries, and tandoors, IT companies, call centres, and sports facilities/gyms.
