TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iran is currently facing a well-planned and organized “information warfare“, the fabric of which intersects with India and Afghanistan.
Special cells of the Indian intelligence agency RAW and the Afghan agency GDI are allegedly active behind the spread of toxic propaganda and fabricated narratives against Iran on various social media platforms.
Social media, especially ‘X’, is full of fabricated news by Indian and Afghan handles. The main aim of this campaign is to turn Iran’s internal protests into a major international crisis and damage the reputation of the Iranian state on a global scale.
On the one hand, the Delhi government is promoting friendship and economic cooperation with Tehran through projects like Chabahar, while on the other hand, behind the scenes, the same RAW operatives and social media teams are trying to destabilize Iran by spreading poisonous propaganda against it.
During the Iran-Israel war of 2025, evidence has emerged that India indirectly assisted Israel through technology and intelligence channels.
Providing intelligence to the enemy and leaving ‘software bugs’ (vulnerabilities) in Iranian infrastructure proves that India’s friendship is just a cloak, behind which a dagger of sabotage is hidden. This hypocritical behavior shows that India is not a blessing but an unreliable and insidious snake.
The most worrying aspect is that Indian technicians working on key projects like Chabahar Port allegedly created software vulnerabilities in Iranian infrastructure that could have exposed Iran’s sensitive data to external powers. This cyber intrusion has become a serious threat to Iran’s national security.
It is time for Iran and other countries in the region to see India, instead of a “strategic partner”, as a “snake in the sleeve” that is spreading espionage and instability in the name of development and aid. This hypocritical role of India is not only a threat to Iran’s national security but also a threat to the peace of the entire region.
Pakistan is a strong supporter of peace, sovereignty, and long-term stability in Iran. Islamabad clearly believes that any instability in the region will have repercussions on the entire regional security structure, which is a poison for overall development.
