Intermittent rain, snowfall continues across Azad Kashmir

NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Intermittent rain and snowfall continued in the Neelum Valley for the third day, further intensifying the cold. More than two feet of snowfall was recorded in the upper areas, while snowfall on the mountains in Muzaffarabad has stopped.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather has been predicted to remain dry overall in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

The Meteorological Department has predicted dry and cold weather in most parts of the country. The weather has been predicted to remain cold and dry in Islamabad, while dry weather is also expected in Murree, Galiyat, and its surrounding areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, fog is likely to remain in Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Multan, Kot Addu, Jhang, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Sahiwal, Kasur, Khanewal, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

The weather has been predicted to remain cold in most districts of Balochistan, while fog is also expected in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Benazirabad, Mohenjo-Daro, and surrounding areas.

Similarly, fog is likely to prevail in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Dera Ismail Khan, and surrounding areas. According to the Meteorological Department, foggy conditions are likely to persist across the country today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Leh was minus 8, Gopis minus 4, Kalam and Quetta minus 3, Kalat minus 2, while Malam Jabba minus 1 was recorded.

On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has directed tourists to be careful and avoid unnecessary travel. DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia says that the rains will reduce the fog and smog situation.
