MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Information Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah has congratulated Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on becoming Field Marshal.
He said Field Marshal General Asim Munir is the pride of the entire nation.
He said General Asim Munir practically brought the motto of faith, piety and jihad in the name of Allah of the Pakistani Armed Forces, to the world in operation against India and demonstrated excellent military capabilities.
The AJK minister, in his congratulatory statement, said that General Asim Munir’s brilliant military leadership, courage, and bravery made Pakistan proud.
Field Marshal achieved historic victory
He said that due to the strategy of Field Marshal General Asim Munir, Pakistan achieved a historic victory.
On behalf of the whole Kashmiri nation, he congratulated Field Marshal General Asim Munir on being promoted to the highest rank in Pakistan Army.
Meanwhile, people in Jhelum Valley have celebrated the promotion of Syed Asim Munir to the rank of Five-Star Field Marshal.
On this occasion, members of civil society, led by Syed Adnan Fatmi, President of Jammu and Kashmir Union of Journalists Jhelum Valley, held a walk to Darbar Alia Sikandria, where a chaddar was laid and special prayers were offered for the welfare of the country and the nation, especially for the long life of Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir.
At the ceremony, Sahibzada Peer Syed Fayyaz Kazmi, Sajjada Nasheen of Darbar Alia Sikandria, offered special prayers.
Speakers paid tribute to the national services of Field Marshal Hafiz Syed Asim Munir, saying that his piety, wisdom, and patriotism are a guarantee for the bright future of Pakistan.
