MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Information Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Maulana Pir Mohammad Mazhar Saeed Shah has said that the defeat of India has highlighted the Kashmir issue internationally.
“Our forces have beaten the enemy. The success of our Shaheen have been acknowledged by the whole world while the film of Pahalgam False Flag Operation has flopped,” he said.
The Minister for Information was addressing a press conference at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall. Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Ahmed Janjua and SP Khawaja Muhammad Siddique were also present on the occasion.
Shah said, “Our martyrs are proud of us. We will never forget their sacrifices.”
During the war with India, the nation stood behind the Pak army for the security of the country, the minister said.
Kashmir issue highlighted
He said the journalists highlighted Kashmir issue internationally and also mentioned India’s atrocities all over the world.
He said that India targeted mosques, innocent children and women while the Pak army hit enemy’s defence installations.
He said if Kashmiris are not given their right to self-determination, the peace of the world would remain at risk.
He said that it was unfortunate for India that his Prime Minister was killing his own people.
“It has proven to the world that the Pak army is our protector while the Indian army is oppressing the people of occupied Kashmir.”
As a result of Indian aggression, 31 people were martyred, 125 injured and 235 houses were affected in Azad Kashmir, the minister told the media.
In the meantime, he added, the government shifted the population from two villages to safer places. As many as 253 people were shifted to safer places in Neelum, he added.
He said in Neelam, two people were martyred, six were injured and 13 houses were completely destroyed.
